Job Profile

The role will be responsible for all aspects of case management, from conducting research and analysis, to structuring projects and managing resources to presenting conclusions to clients. This is a client facing role and as such, you will be expected to build and retain key relationships and exceed in meeting the client’s needs, whilst ensuring that the Control Risks brand remains intact at all times.

The role will provide support to senior management on a variety of cases ranging from due diligence, fraud investigations, among others. The position will be responsible for gathering preliminary information and data for a case, using a variety of research techniques, sources and databases. With a clear focus on the client’s issue, you will be required to carry out an in-depth analysis of the information gathered, identifying potential leads and conducting follow-up investigations where necessary, highlighting all significant findings.

Tasks and responsibilities
With guidance from senior team members, the Consultant will be responsible for the following:

Investigative case work
 Act as case manager and service multiple assignments of reasonable complexity
 Prepare, scope and price standard proposals
 Investigate, use outside resources and prepare reports
 Prepare and present elements in a larger investigation
 Have client contact on particular assignments where acting as case manager
 Manage the full administration of cases, including mastering relevant internal systems and providing guidance to administrative staff

Business and practice development
 Contribute to marketing and profile raising events, potentially through presentations
 Active participation in client meetings
 Seek opportunities to develop projects and business generally, in conjunction with seniors
 Seek opportunities to be involved in product development with seniors

Level and Qualifications
 Education to degree or graduate degree level
 3-5 years’ demonstrated professional experience preferred
 Right to work in Nigeria
 Fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese beneficial
 Experience in a reputable professional legal service firm or financial/accounting or from an investigative/research intensive organisation
 Experience in performing fraud and corruption reviews and/or compliance consulting is desirable

Skills set
 Strong communications skills (upward, downward, across individuals, across cultures, across business lines) in both a verbal and written
 Proven ability to research relevant markets, analyse information and clearly identify commercial opportunities
 A highly professional and commercial approach to problem solving
 Advanced Microsoft office skills, with proven experience in using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
