The Job : Finance Assistant
Job Status: Full Time Job,Graduate/Exp
Daily update of the Petty Cash book.
Quality of support to the Payable accountant.
Ensure all payment instructions received from the payable accountant are accurately processed within 1hr of receipt.
Ensure relevant and supporting instructions follow all payment instructions sent to the bank.
Ensure instrument are appropriately signed before being sent to the bank.
Objectively dispense petty cash and prioritize urgent need.
Ensure appropriate level of petty cash to always meet petty transactions without fail.
Ensure cash certificate is generated and signed off at the last working day of each month.
Ensure instrument are not lacking and always available to do transactions.
Responsible for the custody of hardcopy vouchers.
Ensure vouchers are properly filed and retrieved without recourse to you.
Ensure office equipment in the finance office are functional and that the consumables are adequate and escalate when necessary (inks in printer and copier, scanner etc.).
Ensure records are kept of all transactions generated and no ‘’missing record’’ on demand.
Ensure cheque books, petty cash are always either in the cash till or safe and not left idle on your desk.
Ensure all petty cash vouchers have supporting documents
OND or higher qualification in Accounting
Knowledge of accounting standards
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of business and official matters
